We used a roofer that we found via Rated People and he did an absolutely awful job. The address he gave Rated People is a false one and we've sent them photos of the work he did and the damage he caused. We also showed messages and emails between him and us to show his false promised plus call logs to show we had tried to contact him. We also pointed out that a lot of the positive reviews for him appear to be fake (we foolishly didn't look at them deeply enough beforehand). Rated People aren't interested at all. So much for thoroughly checking the traders on their site! AVOID AVOID AVOID.
