“I posted a job for a joiner to fit ten acoustic wall panels,I got contacted by sm joinery and property maintenance who said they would do the job for £200 I agreed sean said he would come on the Friday to fit them then on the Thursday night he rang to say he would come on the Saturday morning instead to which I agreed.Sean turned up on the Saturday morning to start the job I asked him did I need to cover up my furniture to which he replied no he finished the job in 2 and half hours as he rushed it he cut one of the panels short which he had to patch cut all the switches wrong an some of the boards where they met the ceiling and a couple of the boards weren't stuck right it took 3 hours to clean the mess up plus had to pay a joiner to fix his bad work i could have done a betterjob myself”

“Disgusted once again with RatedPeople. We are trade, using the platform reluctantly for the second time and once again the app stopped working/can’t login and there is nobody to help. No doubt they will try and take another direct debit in the interim. If they don’t sort it out today I’m filling a complaint against them through our lawyers Kyle salmon Urban Houzz”

“Not even worth 1 star! Under One building company suggested a visit between 11-2pm on Saturday to which I agreed. 8am Saturday morning he turns up but due to deafness I didn’t hear him. I let him in at 8.45am. Nice polite young man. I complained to Dylan by message and he was extremely rude on phone, talked over me telling me I’m a difficult person to work with! Because I wanted to know how within a few hours without letting me know he changed the time to one I’d never have accepted?? He is very oversure of himself and I wouldn’t ever employ him. Unable to find his ‘company’ anywhere on internet which causes me to think he’s a jumped up guy who likes to control. Mason who visited me was the opposite- very polite and friendly. No boss should speak to a proposed client the way Dylan spoke to me. I’ll not use rated people again that’s for sure.”

“I signed up to find a cleaner in my local area. Within 24 hours I'd given up. Nothing to do with any cleaners, but because the website is so irritating. It was continually pushing me to download the app. And, no sooner had a company got in touch in response to my request I was getting emails from Rated People asking me to review the work! I hadn't even had chance to respond to the flipping enquiry! Way too irritating.”

“Nobody available to assist with settling lead disputes, terrible customer service. Once signed up you never hear from them again and you can no longer speak to any staff behind the platform. Waste of money avoid at all costs”

“As a Tradesman who used it for 11 years it was fine until the increased my money payment fro £18 per month to £154.. Without me agreeing to it.. They have been very unhelpful and basically could not give a toss,they refused to refund me £300, I would not recommend any Tradesman or women to get involved with them. MR Charles Kelly”

“I was looking for a kitchen fitter to exchange my integrated fridge for a fridge freezer. I was let down by one or two tradespeople so I decided to try rated people. As soon as I posted my request Kenny Lindsay replied and offered to help. Within days he measured up, bought a suitable replacement and fitted it at a reasonable cost. I would strongly recommend Kenny as a reliable tradesperson.”

“Vani electricians must be praised for diligence and perseverance for a job that looked fairly straightforward but turned out to be the opposite. He fitted a replacement waste disposal unit, picked one within my price range and completed the job in a timely manner leaving everything clean and spotless. I would definitely recommend him.”

“Biggest con artist on the web I joined yesterday and this morning after some thinking time when I looked at the price of Leeds that they were charging there was no way you can make any money or even get enough money back that you paid for your three months membership Total cons asked for the money back and they said you’re tied to Contact which you’ve not signed anything it was all done over the phone. It looks like the salesman get commission because he didn’t explain much. Just wanted your credit card details and even the app doesn’t work properly , constantly get emails of the same job over and over again keep well away it’s not worth the time and effort !!!! avoid, avoid avoid!!!!! £180 including VAT wasted!!!!”
