“Customer service non exsitant inly intrested in debiting account .
After agreeing a year contract originaly . I decided to cancel the contract with 2 months remaining. I was informed that I would have to pay for 12 months which is fair enough as I originally agreed this . Now I’m receiving threatening letters regarding year two subscriptions.”
“I employed a building & facilities manager through Rated People. He has turned out to be a crook, having disappeared 5 weeks ago in the middle of building an extension and pocketing the money I had paid him. I've advised Rated People twice about this but so far have had little interest from them apart from sending me a disclaimer saying they aren't liable for their traders, but I had only asked them to remove the trader from their website so that other people wouldn't be defrauded. I'm still waiting for them to remove his previous excellent testimonials from the website.”
“Though there are some genuine tradesmen on there, there are , in my experience, a lot of con men, who, in my opinion, even make up their own reviews. Find another place to source tradesmen. Though I would imagine that if a con man can fudge the reviews on one site, he can do it on another. There are official registers for many trades, such as the Gas Safe Register and the Institute of Plumbing.”
“I was quoted £800.00p. to remove tiles.remove radiator and toilet, make good walls and re-tile, i am still waiting for the grouting to be finished approx six weeks later and numerous E Mails, the toilet was tiled ''around'' not behind, again i was assured by Mr D Wilson of Justaboutbathrooms was to come today to finish grouting. Monday the 16th February at 8am, my review was posted the same day as work was ''finished'' and i gave a 5 star and a good review, but i would suggest, take time to inspect ''ALL'' work carried out before you pay, i did not, i took it on face value, you may find yourself in the same situation as me, excuse after excuse, and disappointed and quite angry, looks like i am going to have to pay some one else to finish grouting.”
