“Had RoadPave renew our drive. terrible job and despite months going by it hasn't been fixed yet. We are met with aggression whenever we try to discuss it and it is becoming obvious we will have to take matters further.
This company has a suspiciously high number of 10 out of 10 reviews. I suspect there are many fake ones amongst them.

“Awful company to deal with as a trader take a monthly payment from your account for leads credits that money to you account then goes about sending a lot of leads however 70- 80% of the leads you get are outside of the area you've agreed to working or in a different sector at times becomes very difficult to spend your monthly payment in leads and whe I asked what happens to the difference does it roll over I was told no it disappears???? So unless your prepared to spend most of the day in your van travelling to jobs out of your area and kiss any credit you can't spend avoid this company”
“You request to close the account and they won’t , they ask questions constantly why you want close , then I was told it will be closed and no renewal, they finally closed my account and still want the money for the year after you declined the renewal, painful 😣”
“It was the biggest mistake of my life to sign up rated people reason I am leaving this review I don't want anyone else to get into this trap I signed up and been promised for credit for a certain amount and also been told my credit will roll to next month but that never happen and I been trying to call and they don't answer on phone and when they want to sell some thing that are really good calling you and answering your phone I sent no of emails and received only one response Kieran Hiett with threat to me we will do this & that against you She don't have any manners how to behave a customer now I am waiting for my problem to be sorted next step will be to report them to trading standard I will make sure I will report them to each and every platform so that cant scam any one else if I made no of calls they are sleeping or May be like any other companies using corona an excuse may be I think Corona Period is end now they Should wake up and listen to customer problems My advise to every trades person avoid raterpeople if you care about your hard earn money Their customer services is bad and there is really less opportunity to win any leads as there is really tough competition”
“Firstly, I don't see why I can't score zero, rated people are not worth 1. Not only did Rated People steer me to a rogue trader who ripped me off but that trader then used my personal details from Rated People to rip someone else off. Seriously, just ask on your local community website for trustworthy traders. Personal recommendations are best.
The anonymous review below this is of Perfect Seal Roofing. The scammer used the name of a local (legit) business on Rated People and my name - although he didn't spell it correctly.
On rated people it is possible for the traders to recommend their own work! They claim it isn't but they have been exposed in the national press for this.”
“Paul Guartey of perfect seal roofing ruined me off 2k. 3 Irish lads put up guttering that’s all got to come down. They’ve disappeared. Rated people gave me the address they registered with but I suspect they’re committing identity fraud and operating under roofing company names that have great reviews. Reported to trading standards and citizens advice are assisting me. I doubt I’ll find them but I’m going to try.”

My elderly grandfather used this site to get a roofer and trusted that due to the name "rated people" and the fact they state that they "screen using Equifax and Action Fraud", that he would find a trusty tradesman... how very wrong he was! After being contacted by a company from the site, he was quoted a very low price and ended up getting scammed out of £7000, for a job that should have cost no more than £1000, and now they have "disappeared". "Rated" People have then said that they take no responsibility for this happening and are just an introductory platform, that is all! After doing a quick google search myself, the owner of said roofing company has been jailed TWICE for scamming elderly people out of thousands... I find it quite concerning that this had never been flagged on their apparent "screening process". Very helpful when trying to contact them, any communication is via email and no one will give us a call to help rectify the problem! I strongly recommended people use other platforms as this is just an advertising platform and that's it!”
“Only reason that I gave rated people a 1 star rating is because the option of zero star was not available. I am a reliable trades person and have done excellent jobs when I do manage to get the work but that is rare. You pay a subscription and 70% of the time either the person looking for work to be done has hired someone else or they changed their mind comply. You dont get your credit back, they dont even have a number to call to complain anymore and when you do email them your complaints, they never respond in a positive manner. All I would say is, go get your own leads, yes you have to pay for it but at least they will be your leads. Rotten Company that has no integrity.”

If you read the terms and conditions it says that they can close your account at any time without giving you a reason.
They do not give you a refund on all the money spent with them or a warning that they are closing your account.
Trades people do not sign up for this they will take your money and kick you out to make way for new trade with more money to spend.”
“i was on rated people for 6 years but lately it has gone down hill lead prices are too much, you ring a potential customer they dont answer, or job has already been done when it came to my app its difficult to get your lead money back, i was able to leave at my renewal date then they gave me a free trial for 2 weeks with some lead money tried it still rubbish no change so no thanks it just the same no answer to calls or jobs been done”
“If I have to grade the work and the individual who sad he was qualified there wouldn't be one!! We have been left after he demanded payment even before he started the work without a bath,toilet,shower or wash basins. Nothing is connected up after 3weeks.. shame on you for posting his profile saying he had all sorts of qualifications. You couldn't have checked.”
“Discraceful, shameless, extortionate, liers, fraudsters, not sure how else to discribe rated people, all I can say in do not trust them! and for crist sake to do give them your bank details, 90 % of job leads are fake, some have cost me £60+ pounds that's on top of the £300 subscription, you can try to request a job lead credit back but they are always denied with no explanation why, you get charged for job leads you didn't even click on straight out of you bank account which could be as much a £150 a job! And Cannot even speak to anyone to explain what is happening or to cancel your account! instead of getting the desperately needed work I needed I've been fruaded out of hundreds of pounds, please do not fall for there lies! it begs believe how they are getting away with this most likely some cleverly worded small print, they need to be investigated.”

“I am a trade person, and try work with this company. So, they just take your money give acess to the platform and provide to you FAKE leads, so I spend 142£ and get back 0. No any work no money back. And when you buy the lead for 35£ and you try contact that custommer usualy you get ansver we don't need any trade person, to do any job. So they just play aroud, with phone numbers.
