I wish I'd seen this site before I posted my job on Rated People. The builder who contacted me had 15 5star reviews. I believed the reviews were genuine at the time. I paid him £3k for materials (he was a small business and I appreciate the difficulty small businesses have with cash flow etc) but notwithstanding numerous promises he has disappeared without doing the work. To make matters worse, he stole items from our property. Rated People don't want to know. Customers and honest tradespeople should avoid them.
