Considering that Ration Six brews wonderful coffee, and was priced accordingly, the Series 1 Thermal Carafe was an outright failure; hard to use, with a lousy pour -- would have been a disgrace on a Mr. Coffee.
Series 2: Ratio had fixed the mechanical design problems, so it handles and pours well. Not sure how "thermal" it still is not. Should we expect hot coffee a half-hour after brewing? Probably yes in a $75 thermal carafe.
