Our unit keeps our 1957 wood cottage warm. With 2 baseboard heaters (which we didn't use much) and a 25-yr-old gas fireplace insert (which wasn't effective enough), our electrician confirmed he thought it would be a better choice than installing a $23,000 furnace or a $13,000 mini-split heat-pump system. We believe our heating expenses last winter were more reasonable than they would have been with the other systems. So does our electrician and plumber.
