While on holiday in the north of Scotland we encountered a pothole which caused a tyre to blowout. This was on a Sunday afternoon, in a remote area (Dunbeath, near Wick).
We called Rescue My Car who advised that as the problem was tyre related I had to source a tyre myself, whilst remote and in a poor signal area, and they would then recover us a maximum of 10 miles…we were remote, with my elderly, disabled mother-in-law in the car and we were effectively stranded. The agent we spoke to at RMC just referred to the small print.
