I was taken to the reservation.com site when I googled the hotel directly and didn't realize until after booking when I received the confirmation email that it was not booked with the hotel but with a 3rd party site that charged extra fees. I cancelled it 6 minutes after I booked it. I didn't see the credit back on my account so I called the 800 number and was told that I would not be getting a refund due to their cancelation policy. This is very misleading. When I cancelled it I thought that I had until 10/18 at 10:00AM and it was 10/11 10:57 PM. I have now been on the phone for 39 minutes asking to speak to a supervisor and she keeps coming back every few minutes telling me the same thing. This is their policy and I agreed to it when I booked the reservation. I keep asking to speak with a supervisor or someone to file a complaint and each time she tells me they will say the same thing and there is nothing she can do. Now she just came back and said that she will see if the hotel will provide a refund. Is she trying to tell me that they have already paid the hotel the money I paid them minus their fees? Is this how this works. Anyone have any suggestions? Each room in this reservation is refundable for a limited time: This booking is subject to a fee of 1 night's room and tax. There is no refund for no-shows, early checkouts, or cancellations after 10/18/2022, 10:00 AM (America/New York).
