Complete waste of time and money. Having recently updated windows 10 I experienced the problem of windows freezing immediately after start up. Having carried out a system restore the problem persisted but could simply be overcome by opening 'Task Manager' and stopping any running initial apps. The system would then work perfectly. I saw that Restoro were offering a 1 year contract (including customer telephone service) and decided to see if they could help. I allowed them to run a remote check on my laptop which apparently identified some problems but they informed me that they could not cure the freezing. They advised me that in order to rectify the problem I would have to have my machine serviced and that it would cost either £160 or £240 (if I included Macafee subscription). I was not willing to pay this amount and so they then tried the Double Glazing saleseman's trick of saying they would ask a manager to offer me a discount as I was aged 60+! 1) I never informed them of my age! 2) they seem to be promoting Macafee products (possibly to receive commission). 3) If I had used the free Windows Defender facility to perform a full system scan prior to purchasing my Restoro subscription, it would have resolved the problem anyway! 4) The problem identified was an unwanted app that was easily removed by Windows Defender and one which should have been automatically spotted by Restoro. I now feel cheated as well as foolish but thankfully I did not fall for the additional services the staff at Restoro persistently tried to talk me into!
