Having taken out my house insurance with you for many years I do not expect to have to then shop around at every renewal time. I expect you to provide the best possible terms and conditions for renewal and not rely on my inertia in order to charge excessive fees which you then reduce. By checking this year I saved myself £239 and could have achieved
greater saving for the equivalent cover elsewhere. I will not go through this exercise again.
