Rieker/Remonte Tex winter boots purchased in Canada, February 2021, not worn till November 2021, leaked in the toe area of both boots and not the zipper section by February 2022. Followed the care instructions. Email message to contact address, phone message on Feb. 24 yielded no response. Tried again with phone, Mar. 7 only to be told 12 month warranty was up, too bad. It was 6 days out of warranty even though not worn till November 2021. Went back to the shoe store, store owner couldn't connect with the Rieker Shoe sales representative and he texted photos of the boots to the rep. I sent a Facebook Message to the company and no response. There was no 0 star rating, and the 1 star was too generous. Paid $150.00 for boots that didn't even last a winter. Very angry with my experience with Rieker. Hopefully, this review will save another individual in the world from this dreadful experience. If Rieker loses enough revenue, the company may change, but in the meantime, I will ensure none of my social network buys Rieker shoe products. They do not stand behind their products. Lesson learned, buy Canadian manufactured boots, because my old 6 year hiking boots still don't leak and they stand behind their products.
