My experience so far has been poor I expect that Riverside is a good company trying to serve its customers well, but they are clearly clinging to an inaccurate picture as to what they have in stock and what they have dispatched. Ordered an Alexander Rose Bengal chair from Riverside. They seemed to be out of stock most other places, but the Riverside website said they were in stock - bit more than what I usually pay, but I was glad to find them. Riverside are a big Alexander Rose supplier and they have good reviews, so I trusted that the website was accurate. The next day I got an email from TNT saying it was being dispatched that day. Oh joy. Later the status changed to ‘being collected’. 2 contacts with customer service and I have been told it definitely is in stock, they wouldn’t have taken my money if it wasn’t in stock, it has definitely been dispatched to me, TNT are having problems. I spoke to TNT a week later (over 2 weeks after my order) and they confirmed that they have not collected the chair for delivery and the problem is at riversides end. I want to buy another 2 chairs but am waiting for them to come into stock elsewhere. As a general point - why do companies ask for reviews when they have still to provide the goods?
