It saddens me to write this review. Firstly I'm pleased with the item of furniture I ordered but utterly appalled by the courier used to deliver the item. This is the reason for the 1 star review & the fact that I will never shop at Roseland Furniture again. The courier used was XPD. I was contacted with less than an hours notice to inform me that my sideboard would be delivered that day. I was away on holiday. When I tried to call XPD to advise that I was not home I was unable to inform them because I do not have a contract with them. Roseland Furniture do. I had to pay 7 pence per minute to discover that. I tried to inform them through their website, but as the item had already been loaded & dispatched no changes to the order could be made. I subsequently phoned Roseland's customer service team who reassured me that the item would be delivered the following week. I then received a phone call from the delivery driver asking me if I was home. I tried to explain that I wasn't & relayed the conversation with Roseland's customer service team. He put the phone down on me. As the driver called me on his mobile I sent him I text asking him to contact his team at head office to get the latest information. He didn't reply to acknowledge the message. The following day I got a phone call from my elderly neighbour asking when I would be home to collect the large heavy parcel that had been left with him. The whole approach adopted by XPD may provide a cheap delivery option, but they show a total disregard & lack of consideration for Roseland's customers. They also showed a complete disregard for Roseland's customer service team. I do not believe it is acceptable & therefore will not shop with Roseland again until they use a reputable delivery partner.
