I ordered 3 large items of furniture for the living room from a very easily negotiable website. Only one item was in stock and the other two were pre-ordered so I was aware there would be a delay with delivery. The first item duly arrived and I was very impressed with the packaging which reassuringly protected the furniture. Sure enough there was not a mark on the item and I was impressed with the quality and finish of the exposed wood. Corners had obviously been cut in terms of the rough, cheap wood used to support the frame but, hey, this is not Ercol or Ducal furniture and this is reflected in the price. The item also required a little more assembly than I was expecting but was not beyond anyone who understands how a screwdriver works.
The second item was delayed for a couple of months which I found acceptable given the current covid situation but I wasn't too happy that I had to ring up on a regular basis to check on the status of the delivery. When it did arrive, however, it was just as well packaged and looked just as good as the first item and even required less assembly. Unfortunately, Roseland let themselves down with the third Item. After constant enquires I managed to get a delivery date 14 weeks after ordering. The expected delivery date, however, came and went without the item appearing. Numerous emails from myself established that there has been an 'error' in the delivery computer system that was eventually rectified. Once again the item did arrive well packaged and looked the part but I feel I would still be waiting for it had I not pursued the matter which is a shame because the items are reasonably priced and well put together. Logistics pull your finger out!
