A bit of a nightmare - but it could have been retrieved, but for the astonishingly casual and cavalier attitude of the Roseland Customer Serices, and the delivery company they employed. Driver said - after the event - he broke down - but didn't tell the customer about it! So I waited in. No-one manning phones at the delivery company that evening, no-one responding at all for the delivery company for two further days. I spoke to Roseland the following day - no guarantee from Roseland of when it would be delivered - arrogant staff attitude - told me to cancel the order if I wanted to. Wrote to express my disappointment - only to find the reply from Roseland exonerated the staff member, and found me to be at fault! Remember, I personally was not expecting to have my character or actions scrutinised - I was just trying to buy a piece of furniture! Roseland had failed to supply it when they said, and apparentlyI was at fault. The wors 'sorry' was in short supply. I cancelled the order immediately. Ironically, so poor were Roseland's communications with their delivery company, that 4 days after my cancelling it, they turned up at the door trying to deliver! I had bought my furniture elsewhere by that time ...
