I bought a sideboard, which is lovely. However, the delivery service was utterly atrocious..!
After ordering online I was sent emails and knew which day I was expecting the delivery. On the day itself I received a text at 8.03am telling me my item was going to be delivered that same day between 10.51am and 12.51pm. There was even a link to ‘track’ my parcel. It all looked promising. Perfect, I thought as I had so much to do that day.
Well, I waited and I waited and I waited. I called Roseland when the sideboard was two hours overdue. They said they would find out what the problem was but, ultimately, they did not answer any of my questions. I checked the tracking link but it just confirmed that a text message was sent at 8.03am. There was no information regarding the whereabouts of my sideboard - useless as a “tracking” system.
Needless to say it didn’t arrive that day and I did not receive ANY COMMUNICATION to tell me not to expect it.
The next day, when I’d heard nothing by 9.30am, I again called Roseland. They could not answer my questions about delivery times but promised to call me back - they did not!
I was just about to go out for an essential trip at 11.30am when my sideboard arrived without warning. I was pleased to receive it but the timing made me late for my appointment.
At 2.45pm that same day I finally received an email from Roseland stating, “I have chased them again this afternoon and will update you as soon as I can. If I can would a Saturday delivery be ok with you if I can't get it to you before then?” Please note it was due on a Wednesday so Saturday would have been a massive delay BUT also (more crucially) this was after my sideboard had already been delivered!
They really do not know up from down; left from right! It is just as well I like the sideboard otherwise I’d be even more cross!!
I wasted a full day and then another half a day waiting in the house. Communication was extremely poor leaving me frustrated and, quite frankly, I was absolutely fuming.
I have given five stars for the sideboard but would give none at all for delivery.
