Very disappointed. The Chichester slim bookcase itself fitted the bill perfectly, but arrived in cardboard packaging that was soggy as a result of standing in water, causing mould and water damage to the base of the item. When we reported this a replacement was promptly offered, but when this arrived the quality of the finish was so poor that we had to request a refund. The staples attaching the back were inserted so poorly that it was almost hanging off. There was also a crack in the woodwork at the front. The bookcase was made in Vietnam. How could such an item pass a quality inspection when leaving the factory? Finished with care and properly warehoused in the UK, this bookcase would have met our requirements perfectly. However, in the light of these two ‘strikes’ we have decided to shop elsewhere, this being no reflection on the design of the item or the quality of customer service we received from Roseland.
