We purchased a small book case, a chest of drawers and a double wardrobe from the Surrey Oak range. The quality of the furniture was mediocre at best when compared to other oak furniture that we have purchased in the past (albeit at a greater cost). The quality in terms of "fit and finish" is where the main issues reside. For example, the door knobs on the front of the wardrobe do not align (level) with one another. One of the drawer handles initially fell off the chest of drawers. We have since rectified this so not a major issue. Also some of the draws stick (did not run smoothly) so we applied some wax to address this. Again not a major issue. The main issue which cannot be addressed is the quality of the oak finish as is quite rough when compared to the other items we have purchased elsewhere. This seems to be true of each of the items purchased so we suspect its just the way they are manufactured. Overall and in summary the furniture is passable for the price paid and will serve its purpose. In hindsight I would likely have paid a little more for something that has a better quality finish. As a supplier Roseland furniture was straightforward to place and order through and delivery was within a 10 day period from purchase. Delivery arrived on time and we were kept informed of the goods progress throughout.
