Missed a package the other day but got a card to go and collect it from the local office. When I got there the following day, the lady behind the counter said they couldn't find it and I should leave my contact number and the manager would call me later that day. 4 Days passed without hearing anything so I call "customer service" just to get some miserable woman on the end of the phone saying they don't track mail. I asked her if she could contact the depot to find out if the manager had any luck finding my item but she said they have no way of contacting them. At this point i stopped to check if she worked for Royal Mail and after receiving confirmation of this, I asked her why Royal Mail customer services were unable to contact a royal mail depot. Safe to say there was a couple of awkward seconds of silence there after followed by the usual scripted response of "i'm sorry we don't track mail sir" I expect for this saga to continue long into the future and relish at the thought of using the royal mail claims system!!!
