Small package sent mid March 2012 recorded/tracked and signed for on delivery to USA, item value £140. The amount paid and choice of mailing was suggested by person in the post office. By the end of June 2021 no delivery had been made so I processed online compensation claim with Royal Mail. Mid July 2021 I receive a cheque for £50 compensation plus money it cost for postage. Customer service states it is clear on their website about minimum compensation. Firstly who on earth would read into Royal Mail website before postage and secondly it states on your receipt from Post Office to view separate terms for Royal mail, this is after you have paid for postage. Royal Mail is a disgrace and the service they offer is not fit for purpose.
