My wife sent a small package weight less than 1kg value £30 and was charged £7. The same package with Hermes was £3.42 (£2.85+£0.57 insurance). How can Royal Mail justify this, I guess it is gross incompetence and inefficiencies. Needless to say I won’t be sending any more packages by Royal Mail. Pity we can’t have an alternative letter post for the public, I’m sure that will be cheaper.
