Thelma Knowlson
I rang the RSPCA earlier to ask for someone to come and take a feral cat that was injured and lying in my shed. He said ‘Is it contained?’ I said, ‘It’s in the shed?’ He asked ‘Is the door open or closed?’ I said ‘Open, but I can close it.’ He said ‘is it in a cat carrier?’ I said ‘no, it’s lying on the floor injured’ he said ‘ you need to get it in a cat carrier.’ I said ‘I can’t. It’s feral and won’t let me touch it.’ He said there was nothing he could do as it could run off when their officers came. I said ‘it can’t run anywhere. It’s injured.’ He was adamant there was nothing they could do. If I had have been able to get it into a carrier, then I wouldn’t have needed the RSPCA. I’d have driven it to the vet myself. Unbelievable! The RSPCA should be renamed - WDGAM. We Don’t Give A Monkeys.
