I also have the soft sided cooler with a zipper that failed at the same spot as the ones I see with negative reviews.. I've had mine for over 2 yrs with very limited use.. this defect should not occur. I've seen many reviews with the same issue so I do believe it's a Manufacturers defect and should be replaced..
