“The Zipper has always been hard to use.. We have had our Arctic Soft side 2 years. Have not used that much , Zipper has popped lose.. Atric says Sorry you will have to just replace the cooler. For an $80 cooler ... O would expect it to work better and not break. I should have returned it when we first got it.”
“I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with a recent customer service experience regarding my 30‑Can Ultra Tough Soft Cooler, purchased in 2020.
For several years, this cooler has been my go-to choice, outperforming other brands in keeping contents cold and holding up well under regular use. That’s why, when the zipper recently failed, I was hopeful the repair could be covered under warranty. I was surprised to learn that my cooler no longer qualifies, but I was even more dismayed by the response I received. The representative told me there was nothing he could do and suggested I throw away the cooler and buy a new one. This solution feels wasteful and dismissive, especially since the cooler is otherwise in excellent condition. As a loyal customer, I expected a more empathetic and solution-oriented approach.
I understand that warranties have limits. It’s disheartening to feel that a brand I’ve trusted for years doesn’t stand behind its products in situations like this.
I chose RTIC for its reputation, but after this experience, I would like to know if I should have invested in a cooler with better long-term support, like Yeti.”
“Buyer beware. I purchased 2 20 can soft pack coolers for holiday gifts in September of 2023. They were not given to the recipients until December of that year. The zipper on one of them is alread broken and will not work at all rendering the cooler completely unuseable. The zipper on second one is barely functional requiring 2 hands to operate. Reached out to support and the only response was sorry charlie - warranty is only 1 year - which I new when I contacted support. Poor quality coolers. Buyer beware. Neither cooler lasted more than 14-16 months.”
“I ordered a customized 16oz colster with my name on it. RTIC's website showed now writing on the opposites side of the raised logo. I had my name printed there. When the bolster arrived it was not as advertised on their website. RTIC would not replace the bolster or send me another as they initially said. They refunded my $5 customization fee but would not correct the issue created by their own website. This is the last product of RTIC I will ever buy from this company. They have cheap prices which is great but terrible customer service. Really disappointed in this company.”
“Loved my coffee mug but the swivel flip up broke. My issue is this: I contacted Rtic a couple of years ago they said they were out and hoped to have replacement soon. I have since checked back several times- same answer. Discouraging to keep heating the same thing even now. Going 3 years for replacement? Seemed like the answer was standard protocol without merit. Frustrating”
“The coolers are great, but the customer support is not so good. One of the little rubber feet fell off of my cooler and I'd like to replace it. I got in contact with them and they directed me to the correct part. Great. It was $12 for the little rubber foot. Kind of pricy for such a small part, but the real kicker was the attentional $7 shipping charge. $20 for a part that probably costs them $0.25 to make. How about just charge a fair price for the parts? There is no reason to gouge your customers.”
“Wish I could give zero stars. Zipper broke on my soft cooler after about a year and a half and they would do NOTHING about it. For what you pay for their product it is totally not worth it. The yeti zipper is ten times better. DO NOT BUY.”
“Ordered personalized mugs online in large quantity and they said they would be delivered within two days. They sent four of the 34 and then told me that they couldn't fulfill the order in time. Totally over promised and under deliver super annoying I could have bought them from Yeti. Super disappointed!”
“My brother bought 4 of the 12 oz Essential Coffee Mugs (2 for him and 2 for me). They are advertised to keep liquids hot for up to 6 hours. That is not true and is way off! I've tried coffee in mine twice and both times and it became room temperature just under two hours! False advertising and bad product! I do NOT recommend buying any type of drinking cups or mugs from them. These are pure garbage.”
“I have been a loyal RTIC customer for over 4 years but as of today I am no longer a customer. I have several coolers, drinkware and I’ve ordered many products as gifts.
I was so disappointed with RTIC during my last order! After I placed my order, a screen popped up that said “refer a friend and get $20 or 20% off of an order”. I referred my coworker. When I didn’t receive the discount, I emailed customer service and asked about my discount. RTIC replied to say “you aren’t eligible because you and the referral have the same IP address.” I replied and explained that we are coworkers which is why we have the same IP address. I told them they could look up our company and see that we are two different people and that also my coworker has a different billing address. When they didn’t reply, I called and was told I would receive a call back. They did not call back.
I own my own company, so I know that when you offer something to a customer (a discount in this case) you must honor your offer. Needless to say I am not impressed by their company policies or their customer service and will not be placing any future orders.”
“They do not stand behind their product. Purchased a 32” snow tube for Christmas gift in 2022. Kid loved it so much that we purchased another 32” (no issues) and 2 x 40” tubes. Purchased in late October during a sale on their website for a 2023 Christmas gift. Gifts opened on December 26th 2023. No snow in our area until mid-january. Tubes kept indoors and pumped up indoors. Both 40” tubes had creases and folds that weakened the material. Both 40” tubes had holes in them (see attached pictures). Numerous contacts with RTIC led to submitting a warranty claim. They denied the claim saying it was outside of the 90 day warranty. Poor and unethical business practice by RTIC. I tried to continue to contact them asking if we could even just purchase the inner tube portion as the outer cover was fine. I received no further contact from RTIC from that point forward.”
“I have the soft brown zipper cooler. Within 4 months the Handle broke off, and then the zipper came loose. Customer Service is terrible. after emails and calls Warranty sent a new handle.
Do Not Waste Your Money.”
“Usually we love their products... so i ordered several of their newer dishwasher safe ceramic lined 16oz bottles for my son for school, they started chipping 3-4 months after purchasing and it's only been used and washed a few times because we alternate between the 4 we bought, I went to file a warranty and of course the warranty was already expired...”
“Our Rtic everyday cooler zipper broke. Only been used maybe 25 times. Contacted company and without receipt they would do nothing. We received as a gift for
Xmas 2022. They should offer to inspect and if appropriate replace. But they didn't care. Not buying again.”
“I purchased the 32 QT Ultra-Light Cooler. I used one time on a camping trip and came home to find a crack on the inside hinge. I reached out to RTIC who stated the it was not covered under warranty. I will not be purchasing anything else from this company who does not back their products.”

“RTIC customer service is horrible and their products a so, so at best!!! I ordered a wheeled cooler and used the wrong account for payment and tried to cancel immediately and I couldn’t find anyway to cancel the order!!! I contacted customer service which opened two hours later and they told me it couldn’t be canceled because it already shipped ( in two hours ). All they could say is sorry horrible company I will never buy from RTIC again!!!!”
