Very poor probate service following a recent bereavement. Saga were given all the requested documentation and after several months of silence, I called the for an update only to be told that they were unable to verify my HSBC probate account because it was too new. At this stage 5 other financial institutions had already paid into the account. SAGA requested a statement from the account to support it's verification so I sent a statement. Two weeks later I called again and they still hadn't been able to verify the account, so I asked for a cheque. A further week after this I still haven't received the cheque.
My first issue is that they didn't contact me when they found a problem. My second issue is there inexplicable inability to verify an account. My third issue is that I have seen no evidence of payment for at least 3 weeks after they said it was the next step.
