Booked a home delivery slot between 9 & 10pm on Sunday evening,which was the only slot left. When it hadn’t arrived by 10.20, I called the helpline who hadn’t been told about a delay as they normally are, when they investigated it turned out the driver had called in sick and they’d had nobody to replace him. I can understand that but Sainsbury’s didn’t let us know and had us sat round waiting without any explanation. At that time, there was no way of getting shopping from anywhere else and all they could say was we’ll deliver tomorrow but can’t guarantee a certain time. This was no good to us as we’re leaving for work at 8am, we had no food left at all to give our dogs for breakfast.
Sadly I’ll never order from Sainsbury's again, can’t risk this happening in the future. Sainsbury’s don’t care about customer service and I thought they were one of the good ones.
