Just popped into Sainsburys mere green today, was only going to buy milk so didn't pick up a basket on entering the store. Then decided as I was going round to buy some Christmas items, so I saw a member of staff who was just standing by the self scan department with NOT ONE CUSTUMER there and she just happened to be standing right next to the baskets. I kindly asked. Could I have a basket please and with that she kindly told me there are lots of baskets outside. I repeated my question again to her. She then reluctantly picked one up for me but told me that there are plenty of baskets out side you know! I did apologise to her. So Sainsburys are we not allowed to ask a member of staff for a basket when they are just standing around doing nothing and have to go back outside the store. Years ago I would have been in big trouble speaking to a customer in that manner, as I was an ex colleague but moved on. Hurry up LIDI and build your store!! Happy Christmas Sainsburys
