I purchased a new model 43 crystal led for my son for Christmas as like many we couldn't source the ps5 he wanted. After 2 weeks I decided to wipe down the tv as per the instructions with a new soft dry micofibre cloth. As soon as I did this parts of the coating came away from the screen leaving a mottled appearance and viewable when the unit is on or off. I contacted Samsung multiple times and they tried telling me bt online had supplied me a used unit and to contact them. I did, and as expected they assured me this was a brand new model that had only just come out and they don't send out used units anyway. I again contacted Samsung multiple times and got no where. I researched online to see if anyone else had had any issues with this model and sure enough they had. Poor screen coating was mentioned and manufacturing process issues used. I put this to Samsung and eventually got a call from one of the managers. However he refused to accept there could be a manufaturing issue resulting in poor screen coatings. They put it down as cosmetic damage caused by the user. Unbelievable, I have a lot of high end equipment and always follow the cleaning instructions to the letter. Thankfully I have never purchased any high end samsung products and will just bin their inferior faulty product and purchase from a reputable company with a decent customer service. LG, Pioneer, Sony, Marantz and phillips are excellent BTW. I wish I'd read the Samsung reviews before making my purchase as I'm usually cautious and research potential purchases.
The 87% poor rating speaks for itself and I'm glad it was only a £350ish purchase. Seriously stay away from Samsung....
