Built-in obsolescence and Appalling Customer Service
I contacted Samsung about my defective Galaxy S7 on 28 October 2021. Samsung arrange for the phone to be collected for repair (by TMT First | Samsung Authorised Repairs ) , and point out that as the phone is 10 months out of warranty, the repair will be chargeable. Samsung arrange to have my phone collected (2 November)
On 3 November, Samsung advise; “ Good news! Your device has arrived safely at our Authorised Service Centre and we'll have it back to you soon.”
A week later, on 10 November, TMT First Samsung Approved Repairs advise me that the cost of repairing my phone is £25. I agree to this and pay immediately
On 14 November my phone is returned. And declared “successfully repaired” by “A Samsung Expert at our Authorised Service Centre”
It’s apparent within a days use that same fault is still there.
I call Samsung 0n 19 November (speak to 3 different mostly unhelpful people) - they advise my issue is with the Samsung Authorised Service Centre – and not with Samsung
So I have been without a phone for 2 weeks and paid for a repair that hasn’t been made. I’m told that my phone will have to go back to TMT First | Samsung Authorised again – and that Samsung can’t over any further help.
I ask; what happens if my experienced is just repeated ; i.e. my phone goes to Samsung’s authorised service centre again for repair (payable in advance) , the phone is sent back two weeks later with the existing fault still evident ?
Answer; I dunno – speak to the Service Centre!!!
