I bought a phone in late June. Bought a screen protector and case in July then unboxed it in late July. In early August I inquired with Samsung if I could return the phone for a higher end model. Answer: No.
I then asked if I could trade it in. Answer: Yes at 20% of what I bought it for.
I know a person who just traded their iPhone for more than 50% with Apple and it has a scratched screen.
Samsung is a moneygrubbing, unappreciative excuse for a good company that should not be allowed to operate in bad faith as this case.
My advice. Do not buy Samsung particularly directly as the grace period is only 15 days.
From now on I am an iPhone person.
All they had to do was be a little more flexible and they would have retained an old customer for life.
