I needed my phone lenses wiped out, and resealed after a dip in the pool. I had my screen replaced a few months ago, so it was no longer waterproof. It only had water in the lenses, and had nothing else wrong. I could make calls, and the screen was perfect, and all. I used it for 4 days after the moisture got into the lenses, and it worked perfectly. So i send it in, and it was supposed to cost me $85. I send it through the mail, and a couple days later I receive an email stating that I will have to pay $435.26 for "Sound problems, headphones not working" Keep in mind this is the phone that I called the repair center of Samsung on, so i know it worked. Then the kind woman on the phone tells me not to worry that they are going to take care of it, and repair it at no cost to me. I was so so happy! I literally cried! After we get off the phone I receive an email stating what she told me that my phone would be repaired at no cost to me. Well 2 days later I receive another email saying that I have to pay before they will fix my phone. The price again is $435.26. Which is $78.99 for general repair charge, $134.05 for LCD repair fee, and $33.17 for tax. That all adds up to only $246.21. That does not even make sense, so I try to chat with them since I can not call because they have my phone, and my daughter isnt home, and they keep transferring me to another person. Then they finally tell me to call the repair shop. I tried to tell her that I do not have another phone, and she tells me to use a friends phone. I tell her we are supposed to be social distancing, and I do not have a friend whos phone I can use. I finally jump through hoops to find a phone to call, and the repair center is closed until Monday, and today is Friday. I have already been without my phone for a week, and I have 5 kids at home. They act like it is no big deal. I have used Samsung for years, and years now, and I have never really had to deal with them until now. I am very disappointed, and they obviously care little to nothing about their customers, or their products. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 by the way.
