I had recently purchased a Samsung television from Target and for about three months it worked fine. Then, for no apparent reason, the video stopped working. I could hear the audio, so I knew the TV still worked. I then preceded to call Samsung customer service. After speaking to them they let me know they would someone out to fix it the next day.
Not even a minute later, they correct themselves. They tell me that I did not buy a big enough television for them to send someone out and instead I will have to mail it off. I speak with a manager and they tell me that is all they can do.
I wait for the label to be emailed. This took about five days. Once I print that out, I head to the UPS store. As I am trying to mail it off, I find out that they are not paying for shipping materials. They force me paid another $20 for shipping supplies. Fast-forward a week and I get an email that informs me that the repairs will cost $155. Obviously, I called them and the television’s screen is broken which is not covered under warranty. I tell them that the television was in fine condition when I mailed it. UPS dropped and broke the TV! They say they will investigate it and eventually agree that UPS broke the television during delivery. They finally fix the television and sent it back to me. This process took longer then two months! Two months to fix a simple problem!
This whole experience combined with the faulty products they sell has convinced me of what a terrible company Samsung truly is. I do not plan to purchase any more of their products in the future and I highly recommend no one else does either.
