Santander has proven itself to be one of the most disappointing and unreliable banks out there. For the third time, they’ve blocked my account simply because I engaged in a few small crypto trades and made transactions via TransferWise. This isn’t just inconvenient; it’s outright insulting. I work hard, pay my taxes, and follow the rules—yet, instead of being treated with respect, Santander treats me as if I’m a criminal.
It’s unacceptable to block access to my own hard-earned money and then demand unnecessary statements to “verify” transactions. Because of these arbitrary freezes, I’m now facing extra charges on my car insurance and other important payments. Santander’s excessive and unwarranted scrutiny punishes loyal customers, pushing them to the brink by questioning every minor financial move.
Santander needs to reassess its approach. Blocking customers’ funds and disrupting their lives over minor transactions is not customer care—it’s customer punishment. This bank has turned banking into a nightmare, and it’s high time they acknowledge and address their unreasonably aggressive practices.
