Long story short, the scooter I received was falling apart and had a huge shimmy when moving. I was already on board when I realized this scooter was just bad...ripped arm covers that were scratching my arm, one finder was already missing and the other one kept falling off. I was told by customer service at Scoot around when I rented this that if there were any issues I could go to the customer service desk on board and that if it was not repairable that they would have a "spare" on board. The customer service on the ship said that they never had a "spare". I then called Scoot around and the lady told me that I would be compensated however nothing has shown up back in my bank account. Even though I realized how bad this scooter was once I was on board, I couldn't get back off the ship to exchange this...I have rented multiple times and this was the first bad one I have ever had. I actually rented two, one for me and one for my sister. Hers seemed to be fine. I was terrified of taking this off in the ports as I didn't want to get stranded.
