I've been a customer for a few years however, upon opening my inbox this morning I was faced with 8 emails demanding thousands of £££s. For over a year I’ve provided monthly meter readings and paid immediately. The bill today said our bill had been estimated and so I called customer services. 5 calls later and staff continuing to insist the bill was correct! They were rude and not prepared to use their brains to see the bill was incorrect. In tears I went through all the photos of my meter reading and compared them to the bill and low behold the meter numbers on the bill were impossibly wrong! I immediately got back to them with the details of their mistake and they finally took the huge sum off the bill! I’m worried that other customers, elderly, vulnerable or with no photo record would have been forced to pay for energy they’ve not used. Conveniently the complaints form on their site isn’t working and there is no complaint department or email address. This goes against Ofgem guidlines. I'm writing to bring this to the attention of other customers as I worry some people are being scammed. People could be actually not turning on their heating because they can’t pay!!!
