Absolutely disgusting unsympathetic company Scottish Power. Contacted them to report my mother had passed away, the bereavement team were brilliant or so I thought, I gave them all the meter readings and they told me the account had been closed and a cheque would be issued. When I rang to see if there was any progress they told the account was still live and another bill would be generated so I would have to pay this also. Then they told me they can't close the account without a date certificate (which I had but not asked for it before) the operator was extremely arrogant and nasty. This is not something you need at that time when you have lost a loved one and this is supposed to be the bereavement team. Absolutely disgusting service
