First let me begin by saying that I'm a professional tailor who specializes in 18th and early 19th century men's coats. I've never made an argyle coat before and I didn't want to put in the extra work of making a pattern. I bought a kilt from Scottish Kilt Shop a couple of years ago, and I was impressed by the quality. When I saw that they had a coat and vest at a very reasonable price, I decided buy from them rather than try to make the pieces.
