I have been dealing with Screwfix for many years and I have never encountered a problem - and that includes delivering many items to the Western Isles of Scotland. However, I have had occasion to be in their new Glasgow Parkhead premises on a number of occasions now and most of the male staff there use the prefix 'mate' in every verbal transaction with male customers. This is most unprofessional and objectionable and management should stop this form of address immediately.
