AVERAGE SERVICE when it came to the delivery, started chasing 2 weeks after the agreed delivery date, when spoke to head office was told to check the small print which covers them for a further 4 weeks. Arrived 3 days after the additional 4 weeks. No apology given.
POOR SERVICE - Furniture arrived and foot stall had a rip in it. Spoke to head office and store. Continually had to chase following sending photos. Finally agreed to replace but told would have to wait a further 12 weeks. A long painful process. No apology.
Disposed of damaged footstall once replacement agreed, SCS did not say at any point that we needed to keep it or did they offer to collect it. On arrival of new footstall 12 weeks later driver refused to deliver as wanted to take damaged one away.
Called SCS head office while driver on doorstep to explain situation and asked to speak to a manager and was told "Managers are not customer facing and do not speak to customers". Told i would have to speak with the store Manager where the purchase was made.
Called the store while driver on door stop and told store manager was on holiday. Was told by sales manager that he would contact regional manager. Was then told that regional manager was on holiday but that had discussed case with senior branch manager that said "Nothing can be done".
£300 wasted.
In the bigger picture i have lost £300 but i will make sure that i am very vocal with everyone i know about my experience with SCS.I used SCS previously to carpet all my upstairs rooms. They will not receive any further business from me or any of my family members or close friends. No wonder so many furniture and carpet stores are going bust. In hind sight i should have spoken with SCS prior to disposing of the footstall but in my defence at no point was it made clear to me that i needed to store the footstall for 12 weeks. A £300 lesson learnt but a bigger loss for SCS.
