My husband and I have been on 2 SDT tours. The first was Hilltop towns of Italy. The tour guide was excellent, and tour destinations very good. Accommodation and food were not so good. Timing was poor - major Italian holiday period - crowds were huge, particularly Florence , Venice and Rome. Stay in Rome was very poorly organized. We decided to give SDT another try and took another tour in Feb 2020 to Costa del Sol, Spain. It was great, top marks. Tours, accommodation and guide (Barbara Barde) were excellent. We did notice that Barbara provided much more service to her group than other SDT guides staying at same location. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was superior. If/When safe to travel again we will again look at SDT packages.
