"I ordered a my girlfriend a bouquet for our anniversary and paid for an early morning delivery as we were busy throughout the day. After paying £10 to ensure delivery before 10.30 I was disappointed to be leaving the house at 10.45 without any sign of a delivery van. To add insult to injury on our special day I was told by the customer service team that my girlfriend had apparently signed for the flowers at 10.27, a clear fraud to cover up either their mistake or the couriers.
When we returned home late in the evening we were expecting a failed delivery note or the flowers to be handed over by a neighbor, neither of these happened. It turns out they had seen someone trying to make a delivery at 16.00 in the afternoon.
I was told I would have to wait for an investigation to take place before any refund could be issued. The next morning at 10.20 the delivery was attempted again, obviously I refused this as our anniversary had passed and this situation had already left us with a bitter taste. Only after telling the customer service team of this attempted delivery did I get offered my refund. Got to wonder how we signed for a delivery we hadn't had, conveniently before the cut off time.
A refund was the very least that I would expect for such a blatant failure on a special occasion and the very least is what I got.
