Previous orders have been great. This one wasn’t. Specifically ordered (early on day 1) a large bouquet with additional guaranteed next day delivery before noon. This was because it was my cousin’s actual birthday and she would be going away late afternoon. No delivery (day 2). Notification the following day (day 3) at 9.00am that flowers on way. Asked Customer Service for explanation. They said sorry for disappointment; reimbursed £4.99 for pre-noon slot and 15% discount. Ok, they apologised and offered some recompense. But 15% may cover the effect of the flowers being left out all day. It does not cover the fact I seemingly missed my cousin’s birthday and could hardly call her (they explicitly say don’t expect notification at the point of delivery) and ask if she’d received them. So stuffed all round, really. Thankfully the flowers were beautiful. Though they were on offer at cheaper price once finished placing order.
