When I switched from a manual Arona to an automatic, it was not highlighted that this would be a dual transmission. This was also not explained to me on car handover. I did ask what the + and - symbols were for but the sales assistant did not know. I made a mental note to read up on this when I got home. I realise now I should have asked for someone who did know but hindsight is a wonderful thing. On driving home the car did not feel right and a message came on the dash to say I should change to D mode for more economical driving. As I did not know about the different driving modes this caused a bit of a distraction which could have made me unsafe. Anyone selling a car or handing over a car should have full driver knowledge to enable an informed decision at point of purchase and a safe handover on collection
