I live in the Manchester area, so travelling to London (4 hours) to visit the Shackleton shop could have been a disappointment, however, it was totally the opposite. The shop is more like a niche boutique where every single item on display has earned its place by having the right look, feel, fit and most important, functionality. I was greeted by two very knowledgeable guys that reinforced the positive experience (I did warn them that I would forget their names, sorry dudes). In the end, I bought the Haakon Tactical Parka which will take me on a short walking excursion in the Scottish peaks and later on to the Finse challenge, I also bought a couple of the Nelson Merino base layers which have already become my favourites (for hiking and everyday wear) and for the final touches I also bought the cashmere beanie and the neck warmer which by the way it is the best I have ever tried because it stays in position throughout my walks (normally they tend to roll up exposing the neck). All in all an amazing experience and a new very satisfied customer. Luis Nino
