“- Style: looks good, zipped and unzipped. - Comfort: Mostly good, close-fitting. Stiffness at the collar/chin when fully zipped is an issue. - Build Quality: Material prone to staining easily. Temperamental zip. Seams appear ok. - Warmth: Very average. Does not compare to Canada Goose, I regret not rebuying a CG parka. - Value: Overpriced in that class.”

I met Louis Rudd in the Himalayan Challenge; he’s a great team leader whose expertise and stories fueled my endurance mindset. Highly recommend all!”

“Living in the Midlands, visiting your only UK store becomes a destination event. I like the quality of the product, it does actually live up to the claims made and so meets my expectations. I like the style of the products and especially the descrtete logo. Some may say boring, I would say classic, timeless and very functional. It is a brand you can get emotionally attached to without having to show off the branding. Those who know - know! The sizing is correct, not an American small that buries you or an Italian XL that wont fit over your head. I like that the variety of items is not too wide, making them the best on offer rather than lots of options that ultimately dilutes the brands USP. The store is welcoming and light so you can actually see what you are considering to spend significant money on. Staff always helpful, honest, respectful and build good customer relation. Please open a store in Birmingham or Leeds and Edinburgh.”

“I have Shackleton marino thermals and a wonderful knitted cashmere sweater. All the products are of the highest quality. The thermals are a really fine knit and retain body warmth superbly. The top has a hood which acts as a comfortable neck buff when worn down and excellent base layer when worn up under my down jacket hood. The detail in the cashmere knit is true craftsmanship and makes the sweater standout as both a quality and stylish garment. It exudes luxury yet is understated. The fit is beautifully comfortable and even though the knit is substantial the sweater feels light and dynamic when worn. This is a sweater equally at home on a trek or in the lounge bar of a five star ski lodge. The Shackleton nine pointed star brand not only marks the superb quality, function and style of the garment it says something about the discerning preferences of the owner.”

“Everything by Shackleton is of the highest quality, but I do have trouble finding the most accurate size and often return to get another size that is larger or smaller than the average small, medium or large.”

“Recently bought the watch cap. Really good product however the label inside is placed right where the left ear is if worn with the brand badge in the right place which has meant the label needs to be cut out to make it comfortable. It would be more sensible to place the label at the back. Other products, the Ross and Rothera are excellent.”

“I had high expectations for the Shackleton beanie given the brand’s reputation, but the experience has been genuinely disappointing. The beanie itself is extremely tight-fitting — not in a snug, premium way, but in a restrictive, ill-fitting way that never seems to settle properly on your head. For the price point, I expected comfort and quality, not something that feels poorly proportioned. What made the situation worse was the customer service. When I reached out for support, the responses were unhelpful and didn’t offer any meaningful resolution. Instead of acknowledging the issue or providing constructive assistance, I felt I was being pushed in circles with no real interest in solving the problem. For a brand that markets itself on craftsmanship and exploration-ready gear, this fell far below expectations. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the Shackleton beanie based on my experience — both the product fit and the customer support need serious improvement.”

“I have made three major purchase from Shackleton. Once in-person at the London store and two online. My in-person purchase experience was excellent. Knowledgable staff were helpful with my selections. By contrast, my two online purchases have been plagued by inordinately long purchase-to ship cycle times, each of which required multiple inquires and prodding by the customer. Once shipped, items were delivered in a reasonable time. Your products are good, but there are comparable, rival products from competitors that have a markedly more businesslike approach to product delivery. While I enjoy the design and quality of your products, your order/ship/delivery scheme is too cumbersome and will likely cause me to avoid future purchases.”
