“Shackleton. A great store, beuitful fit out in the most expensive retail real estate in the world but. When I was asked by the young lady what I knew about the Shackleton stroy i commented a 'little' When I asked her what she knew she could not tell me anything. As the official licence holder to Leadership at the Edge in Asia pacific ( https://www.strategyshift.com.au/keynotes) I know the story backwards. To me if you are representing the great man in a retail setting maybe all staff should read South or the Endurance books and at least know the real story behind the great man. Other than that the product is top notch - the story would sell more I am sure”

“1 star deduction for the sizing simulator. It recommended L in almost every weight scenario 74-80Kgs at 175-180 cm. I assumed the jacket fitted small - until it arrived. The returns process was made easier by the support team but I still had to challenge the postage costs being withheld from the refund - I appreciated that my position was accepted since I had already ordered the medium size jacket - and so I should get the full refund to buy the size I should have ordered in the first place. Same thing when the return was received by Shackleton. I had to chase the postage costs refund. This was a lot of effort for a first time customer but to be fair they honoured their promise. The lesson here is just order your usual size and ignore their simulator.”

“The products I have used are of high quality. The sizing is a little inconsistent, which is why the same size in one garment is not the same as for another. Service in store is first rate, although I haven't made a return, whereas making a return, due to the sizing issue, the service is quite poor. After 10 days have received no confirmation of receipt of return and return to credit card still not arrived. This is in direct contrast with similar companies, Arcteryx and The Cotswold Outdoor Company who issued confirmation immediately on receipt and notice of return to credit card within days - in the case of Cotswold, the same day.”

“Amtrying out the Rothera Hooded Down jacket and Merino hooded T-shirt at 5000m in Bolivia this week. Am staying in tents where we had overnight snow. I sleep in the very thin t-shirt with hood over my head in sleeping bag, wonderful temperature and overall feeling. The down jacket is great for early morning with cold winds, yet also nice when the sun comes out as it breathes well. all-in-all, absilutely as advertised and expected.”

“The design of the jacket is clearly something that has taken a considerable amount of time. In heavy rain the hood is easy to adjust to allow visibility while keeping rain away from the face. There is room in the jacket for a decent midlayer when needed.”

“I now have 5 of Shacleton's Marborough Merino Polo Shirts. 100% 195gsm merino, this is my favourite polo shirt in a classy deep blue that can go with many scenarios, including business casual, especially with a nice sports coat over it. I hope Shackleton will continue this product as I can see only the XS is available online. Shackleton products are meticulously made and are of the highest quality.”
