I've been testing the newer independent shave systems (from the ads that fall out of every male-orientated magazine - no, not those - recently) - because I like independents and because there has to be an alternative, yes. Of the 3 i've tried, ShaveKit is the one that suited me best. Like the others, it includes a trimmer blade (at least on the 5 blade version) which is the feature most likely to keep me using these. What I need to do now is to check against the razors from the big 2 well-known brands that I still have (no point in changing just for the sake of it) and I still have to do the sums to decide if it's betterr value, but ShaveKit at least goes through to the semi-final...
