I bought 2 metre Oak rail. The supplied brackets were not used as my wife felt they caused the handrail to protrude too far from the wall.Also the metal ends came off the plastic centres too easily. I would have preferred an option to buy other bracket sizes. I ended up buying 62mm brackets from Screwfix.
