Honestly its a little grainy. At some point someone said it was a gen 3 but looking through my actual gen 3 night scope this is not gen 3 but if there is moonlight it works well. If you make another recorder with better lighting and clearer resolution I would buy it in a heartbeat. I know you get what you pay for but I would pay for this.
