I love my PRO model but ,I have a question. Can a SIONYX PRO be mounted on a rifle looking thru a red dot scope? If not then can it be used for hunting as a scope?

Duane - please see the e-mail I sent you directly. You can certainly use the Aurora behind your sight as illustrated in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX1w4DHPN-E You will need to be able to move the Aurora far enough back to achieve a good focus, and the output of the sight will be a small fraction of the total sensor area (field of view) of the Aurora. I used my night wave for the first time last week. It worked great. At 10:00 PM we were on the Chesapeake Bay in MD and had no problems seeing like it was daylight. It's interfaced with my Garmin chart-plotter and was outstanding.

We got an Aurora Black a little over a year ago and was very pleased with the performance especially at near dark late in the afternoon. We can see deer in the field behind our house at 200 yards and see them at 100+ yards with the IR security flood light all night.

Connectivity issues constantly ! I purchased two of these one for my 55 foot prestige and one for my 26 foot Brig inflatable tender. Both of them have the same problems sometimes they will connect to the iPad sometimes they will not. It’s hit or miss if it’s going to work or not. I have reached out to the company, and there is no support and no aftercare

The wifi conection is very large i find this makes it dangerous you have to use the hard wire conection and being an analog conection makes it hard to find a compatible screen as most screens are digital catch up with the times and technology sionyx

Very impressed with the product. For the cost of the unit can’t beat it. Being a LE officer can use for work and hog hunting. Would recommend anyone to buy it! I have the unit mounted on a bump helmet with the IR illuminator can walk or drive a vehicle without normal lights.

A zoom feature would be nice. An IR emitter that reaches out more than 50 feet, 300ft or more Preferable. Other than that it works pretty much as advertised.

The unit works well as a monocle; however my use case was to mount it and use the app to display live video. I can get it to “work” but the feed will freeze or disconnect.

The light in the kit did not work. I called customer service and they rush shipped another without any questions asked. It arrived 2 days later, but I had already left on vacation. The gentleman did all he could short of paying overnight fees to rush it out. The night vision worked incredibly well and was fun to look at nature during pitch black and see like it was dusk or dawn. Thank you for your product.

I recently received the SiOnyx Pro night vision camera. I am beyond impressed with its usefulness for my intended use. For shooting the night sky, it does a great job of effectively gathering the low light required to record stars and the Milky Way. When you consider the size, cost and the fine build quality of their cameras, it’s a definite recommendation from me. I had read some user reviews where there was disappointment when the camera was used in a completely dark environment. Any device, like the SiOnyx Pro, needs some small degree of light – but not much – just enough for the camera to amplify what we can barely perceive to something truly visual. With this in mind, it does what it claims to do very well! The camera has a few settings that allow you to take control of the camera -- allowing you to adjust the brightness of your recordings, manual focus, frame rate choices, and more. It’s a simple devise to use. And, the small size and light weight make it an easy camera to have with you at all times, allowing you to quickly capture those unexpected moments. But beyond praise for the camera, their company has the best customer support EVER! I required a fair bit of information about the Pro model vs. other cameras in their product line. All questions were answered with astonishing speed. It’s evident that they care about the user experience – taking pride in what they have developed, and what they offer. Thanks for the great SiOnyx Pro. And thanks too for helping me with your A+++ customer support which helped me with my purchasing decision.
